Danny Clark (Ben Mendelsohn) is the recipient of a birthday present he would rather forget-his father's old Nissan Cedric. He makes things worse for himself when the beautiful and spirited Joanna Johnson (Claudia Karvan) says yes to a date with him-but he promises to pick her up in a Jaguar.
