Welcome back to Birch Creek. Jalon and Phoebe (Written in Love) are married, and Jalon's sister Leanna now works in Daniel's shop repairing small engines. But the town busybodies frown on -Leanna's unwomanly ways, and Daniel fires her to prevent his wife from worrying about an alleged affair. Meanwhile, his estranged brother Roman returns to town after receiving a letter from their late grandmother. Daniel isn't happy, but Roman is sincere in his desire for forgiveness and reconciliation.
